Terms of Service

By using Klyxshot, you agree to these terms. Read them — they're short.

1. The product

Klyxshot is a desktop screenshot application for Windows. The free version is provided as-is, with no warranty. The Pro version unlocks AI-powered features (OCR, image analysis, translation) backed by our cloud servers and the Google Gemini API.

2. Subscription & billing

Pro is a recurring subscription, charged monthly or annually.
Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy (merchant of record).
Subscription auto-renews until cancelled.
Cancel anytime — Pro features remain active until the end of your billing period.

3. Refunds

If you're unsatisfied within 7 days of your first purchase, email support@klyxshot.com and we'll refund. After that, no refunds for partial periods, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Klyxshot to:

Capture or process content you don't have rights to (copyright infringement, illegal surveillance).
Try to extract or reverse-engineer our backend services.
Abuse our servers (excessive requests, DDoS, automated scraping). We track per-license usage and will revoke licenses for clear abuse.
Resell, redistribute, or share your license key.

5. Usage limits

Pro includes monthly limits: 500 OCR + 200 AI describe + 500 translate requests. Limits reset on the 1st of each month UTC. Heavy abuse beyond fair use may result in throttling or account suspension.

6. Service availability

We aim for 99% uptime but make no guarantees. The desktop app keeps working offline; only AI features depend on our servers.

7. Liability

Klyxshot is provided as-is. We're not liable for data loss, missed screenshots, AI hallucinations, or anything else that goes wrong. Maximum liability is the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be emailed to Pro users. Continued use after changes = acceptance.

9. Termination

You can stop using Klyxshot anytime. We can terminate your access if you violate these terms (we'll usually email first unless it's serious).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Germany. Disputes go to courts in Germany.
